The hypocrisy of Spotsylvania County School Board Chair Lorita Daniels was on full display at the September 9th school board meeting. Daniels spent time deflecting from the Cedar Forest Child Abuse Scandal while requesting the public’s help to improve the schools. Both of these positions are in direct contradiction to one another.

Daniels attacked the videos and pictures from the whistleblower and subsequently posted by the Spotsy Wire. She even mentions the Spotsy Wire’s name in her comments. Here are some of the statements made by Lorita Daniels.

“You can put this stuff on internet all day long, if you are not involved in helping to solve the problem, then it’s just going to continue”

We agree. That is why the whistleblower teacher at Cedar Forest Elementary brought this issue to light with video recordings. She was helping to solve the problem. Yet, the school administration and the Daniels led majority on the school board did nothing other than fire the whistleblower. Daniels words are in contradiction with her actions.

“I believe it is important for our school community to offer suggestions or ideas on how to improve our school community, not to continue to throw daggers at our school division”

We agree. It starts with firing anyone involved in the coverup of child abuse. It starts with hiring a 3rd party investigator to learn about all the missteps by leadership so this never happens again. Once again, Daniels words contradict her actions because she voted against hiring a 3rd party investigator.

“if you are writing on Facebook posting pictures videos, can you come here and help us improve”

We posted the videos and wrote articles to show the inaction by the Daniels led majority on the school board and Superintendent Mitchell. If you want to improve the school division, stop wasting time telling people to not watch Spotsy Wire videos and articles. It does not take rocket science to fix the problem. You can start to fix the problem by hiring an outside 3rd party to conduct an investigation.
