There is a special election on February 15 to fill the vacant Livingston District Supervisor seat. The Spotsy Wire has performed extensive research on all candidates and officially endorses Jake Lane for the Livingston District of Spotsylvania County. Below is our rationale.
Livingston District: Although all candidates have served in some capacity in the county, Mr. Lane exhibits the most extensive experience of public service. Mr. Lane serves on the planning commission. He was appointed in that spot by the late Livingston Supervisor Barry Jett. He had previously served on the Agricultural & Forestal Committee and the Transportation committee. We believe he knows the inner working of county government better than any other candidate.
In addition, Mr. Lane is the only candidate that received the nomination by the Spotsylvania County Republican Party. This is a very significant nomination that separates himself from the other candidates in a red district. Based on Mr. Lane’s website, the cornerstones of his campaign are controlling growth in his district, broadband, roads, and infrastructure. We are proud to endorse Mr Lane for Supervisor of the Livingston district of Spotsylvania County.
