Here is the speech by Jennifer Petersen from the 2/10/2025 Spotsylvania County School Board meeting. She talks about the school board not wanting to record public comments. She also talks about losing federal funding because the school division is not complying with Trump’s executive orders.

Petersen states that the federal government provides Spotsylvania County Schools with $31 million dollars. The Spotsylvania County Administrator says that they county can potentially provide schools with $11 million or so dollars. If Spotsylvania County Schools loses federal funding for not complying with Trump’s executive orders, the additional funds from the county will not make a difference.
