Growing Legal Fees for Spotsy Schools

The 2/25 Board of Supervisors meeting revealed that Spotsylvania County Schools has growing legal fees. Spotsylvania County Schools is asking for another $300,000 to cover legal fees. Listen to this exchange between Chief Financial Officer Philip Trayer of Spotsylvania County Schools and Livingston District Supervisor Jake Lane. Trayer states “Our legal costs have been exceeding high……..We have some legal issues we have been working thru that are high dollar amount”.

The taxpayer is forced to cover the growing legal fees because of the mismanagement of the school division. Over the past year, there have been a number of lawsuits and scandals such as the Riverbend High School Swim Team scandal, numerous child abuse situations, wrongful terminations of the teachers, the Miguel Valastro Velasquez child XXX abuse, and many others.

Who has been in charge since January 2024? The far-left school board members Lorita Daniels, Carol Medawar, Nicole Cole, Belen Rodas, and Megan Jackson along with far-left Superintendent Clint Mitchell. They do not care about wasting taxpayer money.
