At the November 10th school board meeting, Spotsylvania County Schools Superintendent Clint “DEI” Mitchell ranted about his academic credentials and anyone questioning his immigration status. The reporting of this story by local “news” sites such as the Advance and the Free Press incorrectly portray this as a racist attack. Neither site did any basic research. If the Advance or Free Press did an actual FOIA request of Lisa Phelps emails, they would know that Phelps never requested any documentation on Mitchell’s citizenship or immigration status.

School Board member Lisa Phelps sent the Spotsy Wire an email to set the record straight. Below is a screenshot of that email. It is clear that Superintendent Clint “DEI” Mitchell engaged in performative politics to drive a deceptive narrative. Anyone with a prefrontal cortex can see thru Mitchell’s political antics because all you have to do is FOIA Lisa Phelp’s emails. We believe Mitchell engaged in a deceptive narrative to distract from all the child XXX abuse issues and first amendment violations in Spotsylvania County Schools.
